Everything changes for Alex Robinson. His family leaves their Indigenous community and moves to Winnipeg. For the first time in his life, he has difficulty to adapt. Things improve when Alex joins a hockey team, the Kodiaks. He quickly becomes one of the best players, but he also has to deal with racist comments. Will he manage to fit in while remaining true to himself?
This action-packed novel, like a good hockey game, skilfully blends sport and humour with life lessons and suggestions for overcoming racism and making the world a better place.
