Welcome to the Christmas edition of our ever-popular Bind Date with a Book program where we combine a new fictional release with the Jolobokaflod tradition! Jolabokaflod, which translates roughly to “Christmas book flood” in English, is the Icelandic tradition of giving and receiving books on Christmas Eve. In the evening, Icelanders stay at home to read their new books and drink hot chocolate. Each year, in order to infuse a little of that same Jolabokaflod spirit to the shop, we choose a new title for our popular Blind Date with a Book program and wrap it to mark it as our official pick of the Christmas season. Buy a copy for yourself or for a friend - but make sure you don’t start reading it until Christmas Eve!
